Serrano ham is Spain's favorite flavor. This cured ham has a mild saltiness and deep flavor that makes it the universal Spanish ingredient. And jamón tastes the best when sliced by hand from a whole bone-in ham. We tasted hundreds of hams across Spain and chose this 18 month reserva jamón to carry our signature Peregrino brand.

A whole cured Spanish ham makes a fun and memorable centerpiece for any party or family gathering. Simply mount the ham in a sturdy holder and start slicing delicious pieces of jamón. Serrano slices are delicious served on a warm plate, or can be added to sandwiches, salads or sautéed vegetables. The trimmings and bones are great in soups and stews.

Our Peregrino Serrano ham is aged for 18 months in the mountains of Spain. During the curing process the jamón undergoes a transformation as nearly 40 percent of its weight melts away and complex flavors develop.

Serrano is Spain's favorite ham, and you will find whole hams featured in restaurants and cafes across the country. A favorite dish at tapas bars is a plate covered with freshly sliced jamón - the perfect compliment to a glass of wine or cold beer.

You can store a bone-in jamón for a couple of weeks in its holder at room temperature, cutting delicious slices every day to add to sandwiches, scrambled eggs, soups or your favorite recipe.

Each jamón will come with slicing and storage instructions. It is important to mount the ham in a sturdy ham holder order to carve safely and properly. Store your ham in a cool, dry place away from insects.
